Nick started out in the home business as a mortgage broker. He quickly learned he preferred to work with his hands and out of the office so he began by learning the concrete trade. Within a year, Nick's ability to learn quickly and apply his skills to improve projects earned him a job as a superintendent. He quickly proved his ability to manage over 25 projects from Ogden to Utah County as well as his skill in construction. Within 3 years Nick got his general contractor's license and struck out on his own. With a background in the mortgage industry, experience managing several projects, a skilled, artistic eye, and a personable nature Nick enjoyed success very quickly.
During the recession Nick's drive to work and to support his family helped see his company through this difficult economic period. During this time Nick branched out from million-dollar custom homes to remodels, basement finishes, detached garages, pool houses, and extensive custom concrete work.
He performed most of this work himself and gained additional skill and expertise in almost every area. He also learned how to do amazing and beautiful trim-work during this time from his sub-contractor and friend who he had used as a finish carpenter for years. He branched out into custom concrete counter tops, fireplace mantels, and other concrete projects.
Nick's personable and honest nature has built long-lasting friendships with many clients who continue to call on him for additional work and for social events. His reputation, strong work ethic, skill, and personality have allowed him to succeed despite the economic downturn. Today, Nick is happy to be building custom homes again but loves his ability to do more hands-on projects and to express his artistic and creative side in remodels and other smaller projects. He loves working with people and putting their visions into a custom home or project.
